Free forever: food search, unlimited barcode scans and 3 AI scans a day.

Bitoo Today screen: 1,410 kcal left of a 2,300 goal, macros, water and meals
Photo logging: the camera names each food in a salad bowl

How it works

Four ways to log. Use the fastest one.

Most meals take a few taps. Pick whatever is quickest right now.

Photo

Snap your plate. AI names each food and its grams, you check and save.

Barcode

Scan anything packaged. Unlimited and always free.

Search

Verified foods from USDA and Open Food Facts, in grams or servings.

Voice

Say “2 eggs and toast with butter”. Each food is matched as you talk.

Photo and voice use AI: 3 scans a day free, unlimited with Premium.

Honest numbers

Honest numbers, not confident guesses.

AI is good at spotting food and bad at guessing calories. So it only does the first part.

A range when it’s unsure

Photos leave room for doubt, so you see the likely range, like 430–520 kcal, next to the number we log.

Calories from verified data

AI recognizes foods and grams. The calories come from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts.

We ask about the oil

Oil and dressing don’t show up in photos and are often the biggest miss. So we ask: none, 1 tsp or 1 tbsp.

Today screen after four days off: “Good to see you again. Nothing was reset.”

No guilt

Miss a day? Nothing resets.

There are no day streaks to break. You build good weeks instead, and days off never cost you anything.

Is it really free?

Yes. Food search, unlimited barcode scans, grams and servings, recipes, water, export and 3 AI scans a day are free forever, with no ads. Premium adds unlimited AI logging, adaptive goals, the AI coach and your full history.

Do I need an account?

No. Open the app and start logging. You can save your log with Apple, Google or email later, so it moves with you to a new phone.

Where do the calories come from?

From food databases: USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. When you log by photo or voice, AI only names the foods and estimates the grams. The calories are then looked up in that data, not guessed.

How accurate are photo scans?

Good at naming foods, less sure about portions. That’s why a photo shows a likely range next to the number we log, lets you fix the grams before saving and asks about oil and dressing. For exact numbers, weigh your food or scan the barcode.

How does the free trial work?

The yearly plan comes with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. We remind you 2 days before it ends. Cancel before the trial ends in your App Store settings and you pay nothing. The monthly plan has no trial.

Is there a web version?

No. Bitoo is a phone app, so it’s with you when you eat. It’s on iPhone now, and Android is coming soon.

Can I export my data?

Yes, for free. Profile → Export my data saves your log as a CSV file you can open in any spreadsheet.

Is this medical advice?

No. Bitoo gives general nutrition estimates, not medical advice. Talk to a doctor or dietitian before big changes to how you eat, especially if you are pregnant, have a health condition or a history of disordered eating. People under 18 don’t get a calorie target in the app.
